How Do I Submit My Application for Registration Online?

You must set up an online account with the Secretary of State. Once you have a username and password, you can log in and the system will give you the option of registering as a foreign entity. You will need to upload a copy of your Certificate of Good Standing from your home state as part of your Application for Registration.

You can pay for your filing with an American Express, Visa, MasterCard, or Discover card. You can also pay by E-check, or you can set up an ACH account (you must fil out the ACH Application Form and mail/email the form to the SOS, after which you can make payments from this account).

Do I Have to Appoint a Mississippi Commercial Registered Agent?

No. You must appoint a Mississippi registered agent, but you can designate a commercial or a non-commercial agent. Commercial registered agents have registered with the Secretary of State, paid a fee, and are listed on the Secretary of State’s website. Non-commercial agents are individuals or entities that are not operating as a professional registered agent service.
