Incorporation in New Hampshire (NH):
A New Hampshire corporation is created when its articles of incorporation become effective, which means the articles of incorporation have been properly completed and filed with the Secretary of State of the State of New Hampshire, along with the required fee. The articles of incorporation must certain basic information, including the name of the business, the number of authorized shares, the name and address of the initial registered agent and an incorporator.

- the articles of incorporation are effective upon filing with, and acceptance by, the Secretary of State of the State of New Hampshire; and
- the name and address of the corporation’s registered agent in the State of New Hampshire will be Filings Made Easy or a party affiliated with Filings Made Easy (Filings Made Easy will provide this service for free for the first six months, and then at the rate of $125 per year each year thereafter).
Corporate Name:
In New Hampshire, the name of any business entity must be distinguishable from, and not the same as, or likely to be confused with, any other registered New Hampshire business entity. This means the Office of the Secretary of State will deny a request for a name if such name is identical to or not distinguishable from any entity, name reservation, or registration on file with the Secretary of State.
The corporate name shall contain the word “corporation,” “incorporated” or “limited,” or shall contain an abbreviation of one of the words. If you fail to include one of the endings with your corporation’s name choice, Filings Made Easy will add “Inc.” as an ending to your corporation’s name when preparing and filing your incorporation documents.
